Band History

The West Monroe High School Rebel Band has received superior ratings at the District Marching Festival for 43 consecutive years. The band attended the State Festival 21 of the last 33 years and scored superior ratings.

2006

The Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and RebelJazz all bring home first place trophies from the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, TN.

2005

The band represented the state of Louisiana in the 55th Presidential Inaugural Parade for President George W. Bush.

2003

National Adjudicator’s Invitational in Washington, D.C.- The Wind Symphony and Symphonic bands both received superior ratings as well as best woodwinds, best brass, best percussion, best soloist, and best band overall.

2002

Concert Band Cup in Branson, Missouri- The Wind Symphony received superior ratings and placed second overall with woodwinds winning best overall.

2000

National Adjudicators Invitational in San Antonio, Texas- The wind Symphony received superior ratings with best percussion.
